Location Summary
The town (village is more like it), consists of about 150 residents, a general store and a post office. The three miles of dirt roads to the retreat are passable year-round and give the feeling that you are 'out there'. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended in the snow and in the springtime mud. Although television is non-existent and cell service is sketchy, there is WiFi at the Main House, as well as a land line. If you'd like some off-site adventure, Taos is 40 minutes away, and Santa Fe is about an hour and a half. The Ski Valley is one hour door-to-door, and Ojo Caliente Spa and Mineral Springs are within 25 minutes. You can visit ancient Indian cliff dwellings, hike in the mountains or on the mesa, and river-raft in the Rio Grande Gorge.
